Dear Listeners,

I talk all the time about the importance of active listening. If you listen actively, then you already know this. And while I’d really, really like it if you listened actively while I talk, what I really care about is that you listen actively and respectfully to each other. I’ve learned a lot in my life from teachers, but I’ve learned even more from my peers and friends.

Everyone in class has something to teach you, but you’ll only get it if you listen actively.
