Dear Humans,

Sometimes I worry what social media is doing to us. I know some of you say things to each other in texts and chat that spills over into the next school day. I know that people often use information to score points for their side rather than get to the truth. And I know that my own attention span has shrunk.

But last week I learned to stand my broom up on its own. So maybe it’s worth it?

Social media isn’t going anywhere. So we need to make sure we use it to be productive, safe, and kind. It gives us access to more voices and it gives us more voice, so let’s make sure we use it for good.
